Zachys Wine & Liquor | Retail Store Position
Zachys is seeking an energetic and knowledgeable Wine Consultant to join our retail team. This role is ideal for a wine professional who is passionate about client service, sales, and building lasting customer relationships in a dynamic retail environment.
Position OverviewThe primary function of the Wine Consultant is to assist clients with the selection and purchase of wine and spirits while ensuring the store remains fully stocked, engaging, and operational. This role also supports business growth by identifying and engaging potential clients through phone and email outreach.
This is an in-store retail position.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist customers in selecting wines and spirits from our diverse inventory
Build and maintain client relationships through in-store interactions and proactive outreach via phone and email
Identify and engage potential new clients to support business growth
Process sales transactions and deliver a high-touch, personalized shopping experience
Work closely with team members to ensure excellent customer service and a memorable client experience
Help maintain a dynamic, organized, and fully stocked retail environment
Strong wine knowledge, including major wine-producing regions (required)
CMS and/or WSET certification preferred
Prior wine sales experience required
Client development and outreach experience
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Proficient with Point of Sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Computer literate and comfortable with technology
High energy with a strong desire to grow knowledge in the wine and spirits industry
Dynamic, outgoing personality
Team player with the ability to work independently
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment
Availability to work weekends is essential, including Friday and Saturdays
