Job Title: Pharmacist - Inpatient Profession: Pharmacist Specialty: Inpatient Pharmacy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Day, Evening Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required; 1 year hospital experience preferred, or residency trained, or 3 years of relevant experience. License: State license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Comfortable with standard pediatric orders due to facility's pediatric focus. Description: Position involves order verification, product check and release, and remote sterile compounding verification. Clinical tasks include IV-PO dosing, renal dose review, aminoglycoside, and anticoagulation dosing. Candidates should have experience in inpatient pharmacy roles and be adaptable to team needs. Pharmacy Technicians may be staffed around the clock in sterile and non-sterile roles. Shifts include 10-hour block scheduling in PM/overnight roles, while day shifts follow an 8-hour staggered start beginning at 0600. Weekend coverage may be required every other weekend, and there will be rotating holiday requirements. No on-call requirements, but call-ins may be requested for sick calls. The medication dispensing system utilized is Omnicell ADMs and Cerner EMR, along with Pharmacy Keeper for compounding and remote verification. Dress code is business casual, with facility scrubs provided for sterile environments. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced acute care setting.
